Enrichment Visits
Eco-Camping
03/05/2025
Annual Wild Camp
We love camping on back-to-basics campsites and love to spend some time with our friends in North Wales. We make at least one annual visit to this private eco-friendly campsite (Usually between May and September), where we practice eco-friendly living as well as visits to local areas of interests and immersion in the local culture. This visit ties in with several of our courses. More information will be provided soon.

Animal Conservation Studies at the West Midlands Safari Park
We participated in the West Midlands Safari Park’s recent Home Educators day. We enjoyed the drive-thru experience where our learners were encouraged to discuss the animals, their natural habitats, diets and how the keepers provide enrichment for them. Afterwards we enjoyed a few hours on the amusement park rides where not only did we have fun and work on our socialisation skills, we also discussed the mechanics of the rides and the work of the ride operators. During this visit we covered: Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Environmental and Animal Conservation, PE, Socialisation and more.

History and Nature Studies at Kinver Rock Houses
For National Heritage Week our learners enjoyed a visit to the Kinver Rock Houses, near Stourbridge. We prepared for our visit by watching some videos and then enjoyed our day exploring the Rock Houses.
